I am going to be submitting work for the upcoming Jacks Art Show, a Halloween art show at The Koken Art Factory.

Now we all know I have some dark art to submit, but I would love to have some new and never seen pieces to submit.

Jack the Ripper cordially invites you to submit artwork for his 120th Anniversary Art Show and Party. This will no doubt be St. Louis’s premiere Halloween Art Show. He is looking for art in all media and styles. Don’t limit your thinking to just pumpkins and black cats. Jack is open to anything that’s dark, moody, surreal, goth, weird, strange, bizarre, unusual, darkly humorous, or fitting in any way for a Halloween show.
Jack’s Halloween Art Show and Party is a one night event. In addition to fantastic art, there will be food, entertainment and a cash bar. We are also encouraging people to come in costume. It is a Halloween party after all.
Here’s the show details:
Saturday, October 18, 2008. 7pm-1am
Admission is only $2.00.
Koken Art Factory, 2500 Ohio Avenue
St. Louis, MO 63104
So if you feel up to getting dirtied, bloodied or just feel like goofing off for a funny yet Halloween inspired photo session just drop me a note/email.

The bands were good, the chili fucking rocked and the Alley Cat girls stole the whole night. For those of you that did not make it to the show here are the pieces I had hanging.
I am off to try to get some sleep, I have to head over to the studio tomorrow and pick up my work and maybe give them a hand cleaning up. Hope everyone that did make it tonight had a good time, see you at the next show.

This show sounds like it is going to be a BLAST! I sent in my pieces last night, not sure if they are what they are looking for, time will tell. I was sent an invitation that allowed me to submit six pieces, which I was very surprised to get. Even if I don’t get any pieces in the show, Amber and I will be going to this even for sure.

All six pieces were accepted for the show!!!!

I will be entering a new group show called Vicars and Tarts.
“Vicars and Tarts parties have been a British craze for years, but now it’s coming to the stateside artist community. This show is accepting art representing society’s struggle between freedom of expression, sin, and sexuality.”
I have some shots for this show ready to submit, I would still like to do some new ones though. Drop me a note if you are interested. I have till the 28th of March to submit my work for this juried show.
One of the shots I am going to submit:
Model: Beth
Title: Tipping Her Hat

Still need to do one shot for this show and time is getting really short, it is just hard to find the right couple for this one. I need a male couple to finish what I need for this show, but I have a lot more planned for the series down the road.
This show is about celebrating the solidarity between the sexes and my together series is about capturing the emotional aspect of two people interacting, it’s about solidarity between the sexes, no matter the partner. It boils down to this, no matter if you are straight, gay, bi, trans-gender, identify as a sex other than the body you currently in….we all want the same thing, to be loved by someone. My together series has always been about that special connection two people share, couple or not. If you want to be part of this series please let me know….I want people, not just ‘models’
I was just notified that
was accepted for the Soulard Art Market & Contemporary Art Gallery’s upcoming show.
