Foggy Riverfront Panoramic

Posted by: John Williams   in Landscape, Nature

This image is downsized from 13,500 pixels wide, it started life as 14 separate images.

You may view the image here - Foggy River Panoramic - it will open in a new window.

This is an island in the middle of the Illinois River by Grafton, where the Mississippi and the Illinois river merge. Every year you can find Bald Eagles wintering there between early January and late February. Needless to say we did not see many on this day, it was still a great trip, the river and the fog were just beautiful.

I took the images while standing along side the great river road, hoping to capture some of the beauty I saw before me. It is not perfect, but a hand held 14 image panorama won’t be perfect, I just hope it gives you some sense of what I was seeing that day.

Shot with a Canon 350D - SigmaXQ 135mm f/2.8 MF lens
